Founded in 2008, L’ Shanell Events, LLC is a full-service creative events agency that specializes in venue sourcing, contract negotiations, event management, design, marketing and on-site support for business meetings and events, fashion productions and celebrations nationwide. LATOYA SHANELL McCREARY, CMP
CEO & DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

Latoya Shanell McCreary, CMP has a dynamic multi-disciplinary background with more than 15 years of experience in corporate meetings, events, marketing and project management across a variety of industries. Ms. McCreary has managed hundreds of complex corporate meetings and events nationally and internationally. She has worked in various corporate marketing departments managing strategic marketing campaigns, promotional materials, presentations, website design, email marketing campaigns, trade shows and internal and client events. Ms. McCreary has managed client accounts for global meetings and events agencies. Client accounts serviced include AAA, Navistar, SEIU, Artex Risk Solutions, Rodan & Fields, Mutual Trust, Integrity Marketing Group, Toyota, Style Crest and more.

Types of programs planned and managed include executive strategy meetings, client events, employee incentive trips, industry trade shows, hospitality sporting events, sales meetings and multi-day client conferences with event program budgets up to $2 million. Ms. McCreary is also experienced with planning celebrations, brand events, fashion productions and public networking events.

As a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Ms. McCreary has achieved a level of experience and education that represents the industry’s highest standard of professionalism. In 2015, Ms. McCreary was named as a top event industry leader under 40 on Collaborate magazine, “40 Under 40” list, which honors the top young event industry professionals. Ms. McCreary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a communications minor from Northern Illinois University as well as a professional meeting and event planning certificate from Harper College.

SAMANTHA BELLEGARDE, MSIMC
EVENT MANAGER

Samantha Bellegarde enjoys bringing her passion for the spice of life in all types of projects she executes. Her diverse background in marketing, event planning, project management, and advertising allows her to showcase many different skill sets with her work. Although Samantha has primarily worked in the advertising /marketing fields, event management has always been in the background. Her love for events started at a young age with her involvement in planning school events for student council and various organizations she was apart of.

Later Samantha was introduced to the world of advertising  and decided to pursue a career in that field. Samantha loved marketing and advertising and had the pleasure of working and managing brands such United Airlines, Kimberly Clark, and many large Chicago restaurants. Eventually Samantha learned she was able to merge the fields she was passionate about and shifted her career in that direction to focus more on event marketing. Although her primary career focuses more on corporate meetings and project management, Samantha’s managed submerse herself in many different types of events outside of her daily 9 to 5. Samantha has worked on many events such as social celebrations, fashion productions, networking events and weddings, which is her favorite event to plan. 

Samantha holds both a Bachelors in Graphic Communications from Illinois State University and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University.
